WORK BENCH
Perhaps the first requirement in a shed/workshop is a decent work bench. A B&W Workmate is fine for the occasional bit of diy or one of the "flat-pack" benches available, but for  serious work something more substantial is needed. This one should be strong enough to take the weight of most motorcycle engines even a car engine. Construction is straight forward and in the case of this one, where some recycled timber was used, not too expensive.
All sizes are given as a guide and may be tailored to suit individual needs, available space or sizes of timber to hand. Omit the centre legs if shortening to 48 inches or less. Boards can be added to create a shelf under the bench and the ends closed off if required. Once built the bench can be fixed to a wall for extra stability.
